Tailormade and personalised travel experiences throughout Africa are our passion. We want our clients to start planning their next holiday to Africa the minute they return home with memories that will be with them forever. We want them to tell their friends about their experiences and our social media channels on Instagram and Facebook are our main tools to show how much more Africa has to offer.
TravelHouse Africa is based in Cape Town, South Africa and was founded by Billy Hare & Ingo Brüggemann. Our team of expert travel planners have personally experienced every destination we offer. We are reliable, competent travel partners in Africa with a network of carefully selected suppliers in every corner of the continent to ensure that our clients’ most valuable time of the year is well spent.
We currently have a position available for a junior social media assistant to join our passionate team at our team. This role can be part-time and in a hybrid office/work from anywhere environment. You need to be someone who loves the idea of working with a young entrepreneurial travel business. Our team is small but our ambition is to consistently deliver the best African travel experiences.
The key focus of this role is to lead and manage all social media content creation, publishing, and community management in collaboration with our team. While we have a content strategy in place, social media remains social in our business: We want to present personalised, relevant travel content that inspires our clients and shows that TravelHouse Africa is the destination expert in Southern and Eastern Africa and Indian Ocean Islands. Growing our numbers of followers and social interaction is one of the targets.
Skills and Experience:
Travel industry experience and advantage, or a passion for travel
Facebook, Instagram incl Ads Manager
Blog posts to existing client data base: content planning, research, publishing
Squarespace an advantage
Effective communicator, written and verbal.
Organised, methodical and detailed.
Have a positive attitude
Have fun, be passionate and be driven by excellence
