Time + Tide Zambia
Zambia is regarded by many as one of the last true wildernesses and this continent’s greatest secret. Visitor numbers are small and her vast areas of pristine wilderness have remained unchanged for millennia. The opportunity to explore these areas and see the wildlife without sharing the experience with many others is a privilege that’s hard to find these days.
Time + Tide’s story started 70 years ago, when the legendary Norman Carr pioneered a community and conservation-based safari experience in Zambia. Over the years the safari company has evolved and grown, and today, the family of luxury safari properties stretches across the land and sea, in Zambia and Madagascar, welcoming those who believe the road less travelled has more to offer.
Destinations
Time + Tide is a family owned business with eight luxury safari properties and a remote island resort, spanning four regions across Zambia and Madagascar. The original founders were Norman Carr (1950) and later, the Liebenberg family (1996), who are all credited as leaders in responsible tourism. Today, Time + Tide continues to revolutionize the safari industry through the creation of new, intimate properties in untapped locations where guests can experience authentic interaction with nature’s wild places. Time + Tide’s tourism experience is rooted in conservation and synonymous with Africa’s history of ecotourism and preservation.
